1. Scope
This policy applies to the Wizarding OS 0.4.4 iPhone app and this website. It describes the release identified by bundle ID com.sherry.wizardingos. It does not govern services that a user independently chooses outside the app, such as an operating-system share destination or personal device backup.
2. Summary
No account or login is required. This release contains no advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, developer-operated cloud sync, in-app purchases, or uploads to a developer server. Core records and selected photographs are stored locally on the device.
This website uses no analytics, cookies, forms, advertising, local storage, or trackers.
3. Information stored by the app
Tasks, projects, saved items, journeys, happy memories, collections, local assistant conversations, preferences, and associated content are stored locally using Apple platform storage technologies. This information remains within the app’s local container unless the user chooses an export, share, device backup, or another operating-system action.
4. Information not collected by the developer
The app does not send the developer account details, planning records, memory text, photographs, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral profiles. The app does not request unrestricted photo-library, camera, microphone, contacts, location, or notification access in this release.
This does not mean that no platform data exists: Apple may process App Store downloads, purchases, crash information, or other platform diagnostics under Apple’s own policies. The Wizarding OS developer does not control Apple’s systems.
5. Photos and image handling
Photographs are selected through Apple’s system photo picker. User-selected image bytes are normalized for app use and remain local to the app container. They are not sent to a developer-operated service. A photograph may leave the app only when the user explicitly chooses an operating-system sharing or backup behavior outside the app.
The bundled Sample Content photographs are part of the app release and are separate from a user’s own photo library.
6. Local assistant behavior
The production assistant in version 0.4.4 uses local planning logic. It does not send prompts, assistant messages, task details, or other app content to a developer-operated remote artificial-intelligence service.
7. Backups and exports
JSON backup exports contain supported structured records and metadata. They do not include user-selected image bytes or credentials. When a user exports or shares a backup, that copy leaves the app’s control and is governed by the storage location, service, or recipient selected by the user.
8. Diagnostics
Release diagnostics are limited to non-sensitive operational summaries. They must not contain memory titles, notes, tags, full assistant message text, image data, API keys, credentials, signing identities, or provisioning information. Developer diagnostics are excluded from the Release settings experience.
9. Third-party services
Wizarding OS 0.4.4 does not integrate advertising networks, analytics providers, developer-operated cloud storage, social widgets, or remote artificial-intelligence services. Apple provides the operating system, App Store, photo picker, and optional device backup or diagnostic services under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
10. Children’s privacy
Wizarding OS is a general productivity app and is not directed specifically to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app or website. A parent or guardian should manage device access and backups as appropriate.
11. Data retention and deletion
Local records remain until the user edits or deletes them. Users can delete individual records inside the app, remove the exact bundled Sample Content library in Settings, or delete the app to remove its local container. Device or cloud backups managed by the user or Apple may retain copies under their own settings and retention rules.
12. Security limitations
Local storage reduces unnecessary transmission, but no device or software can be guaranteed completely secure. Device passcodes, operating-system updates, encrypted backups, and careful handling of exported files help protect personal content. Deleting the app without a usable backup may permanently remove local information.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may change when app behavior, platform requirements, or legal obligations change. A revised policy will show a new effective date. Material changes will not be described as applying retroactively when they did not.
